I Know A Guy (“IKAG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a referral and introduction service. Please read this disclaimer carefully before requesting or accepting an introduction through our platform.
What We Do
We connect consumers with independent, locally vetted professionals. When you submit a request, we introduce you to a professional from our network who may be able to help with your needs. That’s where our involvement ends.
What We Don’t Do
I Know A Guy does not:
- Employ, supervise, direct, or control any professional listed on the Site
- Guarantee, warrant, or certify the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any professional’s work
- Set or negotiate pricing, schedules, or terms between consumers and professionals
- Provide, perform, or subcontract any services offered by listed professionals
- Mediate or resolve disputes between consumers and professionals
- Assume liability for any property damage, personal injury, financial loss, or other damages arising from a professional’s services
Your Responsibility
By requesting an introduction, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You are solely responsible for evaluating, selecting, and hiring any professional
- You should independently verify credentials, licensing, insurance, references, and qualifications before entering into any agreement
- All contracts, pricing, warranties, timelines, and service agreements are between you and the professional directly
- I Know A Guy is not a party to any transaction between you and a professional
No Guarantee of Results
An introduction does not guarantee that:
- The professional will be available, suitable, or willing to take on your project
- The professional’s pricing or terms will meet your expectations
- The work performed will be satisfactory or defect-free
- Any particular outcome or result will be achieved
Vetting Limitations
While we review professionals before accepting them into our network, our review process is based on information available at the time of application. Vetting reflects a point-in-time assessment and does not constitute a guarantee of ongoing compliance, quality, financial stability, or reliability. We encourage consumers to conduct their own due diligence.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, I KNOW A GUY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM ANY INTRODUCTION, REFERRAL, OR INTERACTION FACILITATED THROUGH THE SITE. THIS INCLUDES, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, FINANCIAL LOSS, BREACH OF CONTRACT BY A PROFESSIONAL, OR ANY OTHER CLAIM.
